Buyback Policy
The Campus Store now buys back used textbooks on a year round basis!
Do you have used books that you no longer need? Could you use some extra cash? No receipt is required to sell back books, but you will need to present your SWC ID.
Up to 50% you bought the book used and will be paid under the following terms:
1. The book must be continued in use for the next semester at SWC (based on
faculty orders) and the bookstore has need for stock.
2. No new edition has been announced by the publisher.
3. Book must be in good condition (underlining & highlighting
permissible, no water/coffee damage).
We do not buy back lab manuals, perforated books, custom published books, workbooks or books with computer disks. Also, we cannot guarantee the buyback of any book at any time and are unable to quote buyback prices over the phone. It is also our policy not to buy multiple copies of titles from individuals.
If your book does not meet our buyback criteria, we are often able to purchase titles on behalf of our nation-wide used book wholesaler, which resells them to other college and universities throughout the country. Price is set by the wholesaler and is based on national supply and demand.
To receive the best price, books should be sold at finals period, during the last two weeks of each semester!
